SIPPO’S TRADE PROMOTION ACADEMY (TPA) E-LEARNING PLATFORM SUCCESSFULLY INTRODUCED TO THE DTIC’S FOREIGN ECONOMIC REPRESENTATIVES BASED IN EUROPE AND OTHER REGIONS
SIPPO South Africa and specialists from the ITC were able to demonstrate the use and value of the TPA and certain of the ITC’s tools to this group of Foreign Economic Representatives (FERs) of SIPPO’s strategic BSO partner, the dtic during workshops held recently.
During the informative sessions the officials gained insight into the value of the TPA’s different modules on export promotion activities and the wide range of useful materials in the resource library, linked to each module. They could also appreciate the value of the TPA’s Forum for exchange between officials from SIPPO’s BSO partners in the various countries.
The FERs were advised by a SIPPO international sector expert on how to apply the content of the TPA modules in their work of export promotion, thereby putting theory into practice.
During the sessions, specialists from the ITC demonstrated how three of the ITC Tools; Trade Map, Export Potential Map and the Market Access Map, can be used by the dtic officials based in the foreign missions, in their work.
The dtic officials based in Europe and the other regions all found these sessions to be both very informative and most useful to support them in their daily work.
