LAUNCH OF NEW TIKZN EXPORT MARKET ENTRY STRATEGY PROGRAMME
SIPPO supports its partner BSO, TIKZN, with the implementation of its new programme for potential exporters in the Processed Foods and Natural Ingredients sectors
As part of the export promotion activities of the SIPPO BSO partner, Trade and Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) to support companies from the province, the Export Market Entry Strategy Programme for the processed foods and natural ingredients sectors was launched on 26th February 2020 in Durban. The objective of the programme is to enable these companies to develop their own market-entry-strategy plans for export to Europe and other international markets.
Thus far, modules 1 & 2 of the training have been successfully completed with interactive workshops having been held for the 10 firms on the programme. These were conducted by the local consultant, ITRISA, appointed by TIKZN and supported by SIPPO and its international expert based in Europe.
The programme will run for approximately five months and will include the development of individual company export market entry strategies, following site-visits to the participating companies to finalise their export market entry strategies. This will lead to a B2B matchmaking activity in 2021 organised by TIKZN for the companies participating on the programme.
The programme is a result of SIPPO’s capacity building workshops in 2018 and programme framework development in 2019.
